We have always strived to push our craft toward new uncharted territories, and in many ways IMMERSION depicts some of our greatest desires; wanting to do something special, unique, and innovative. What started as an idea to simply set us apart, quickly grew in meaning and depth toward a celebration of what music can offer. During the existence of this band we have been chasing moments where you let go, expectations are overwhelmed, and you recognize that something special is taking place. For us, music is the medium of choice in pursuit of these moments. Our new album 'How Do We Stay Here?' wrestles with this concept and how we can’t easily articulate the impact a profound moment can have on us. It typically takes hindsight to fully understand the power of a moment, but every now and then you can slow your thoughts and just be still.

The objective of Close Talker's IMMERSION and latest album 'How Do We Stay Here?' is to take part and invest in the power that music can offer, to create an environment where one can truly let go. The goal of this new live album is to prolong and further extend this invitation to simply stop, take a breath, and participate.

IMMERSION is a concert series by Close Talker that first took place in August 2019 at art galleries, studios, and other unique locations across Canada. It is a headphone concert that integrates cutting-edge binaural audio software to create a 360 degree immersive listening experience. Close Talker performed their new album How Do We Stay Here? from front to back at each performance, which was recorded and compiled into this live album. We hope you enjoy.
